Out of the Night FAQ’s

Q:              On which day is the event?

A:            The event occurs in the EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING OF SATURDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER.  So, you will go to bed on the Friday evening and dependant on how far you have to travel and your allocated start time, you will potentially be getting up around midnight – 1am to depart for Donard car park in Newcastle.  The event will FINISH AT DONARD CAR PARK AROUND 8AM ON THE MORNING OF SATURDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER.


Q:              What is the weather is unfavourable?

A:            You will receive a text message the day before the event, prompting a response from you to confirm your attendance and that the event will go ahead.  Should the weather forecast prove extremely unfavourable, the event will be re-scheduled and you will be notified.


Q:           Outside of the registration fee, is there a minimum amount of sponsorship required?

A:            No, if you wish to just pay and take part in the event that is fine.  We would obviously love for people to raise additional sponsorship for Adopt NI and would encourage it where possible!


Q:           Can I raise funds for my own charity?

A:            Yes, it is up to you as an individual to pay the required registration fee.  You must obtain a sponsor form from the charity you wish to support and notify them of your intention.  Any money raised or collected for an outside charity is up to you to donate and finalise with them.  Adopt NI can take no responsibility for this. Again, we would encourage you to raise funds for Adopt NI though!


Q:           What does the registration fee cover?

A:            We are a small charity so the fee covers the admin involved in the run up to the event and also your insurance and breakfast.


Q:           What do I need to bring and wear?
